Speeding BMW Collision in Delhi's Greater Kailash Leaves 4 Pedestrians Critically Injured

In a harrowing incident in South Delhi’s Greater Kailash Enclave-II, a speeding BMW crashed into a parked car, propelling it into four pedestrians, critically injuring them. The victims, identified as Yashwant Nalwade (58), Devraj Madhukar (50), Manohar (62), and Nitin, were taking an evening stroll after dinner when the accident occurred. Rushed to the AIIMS trauma center, they remain in critical condition, receiving treatment.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Chandan Chowdhary detailed the event, explaining that the BMW, driven by a woman, collided forcefully with a parked Maruti Ciaz, resulting in the vehicle striking the pedestrians. The impact of the collision caused severe injuries to the individuals, necessitating immediate medical attention at AIIMS.

Chowdhary emphasized the intensity of the collision, underscoring the seriousness of the injuries sustained by the victims. The process of filing an FIR is underway as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident. Notably, the Maruti Ciaz was unoccupied at the time of the collision.

Law enforcement swiftly responded to the distress call, dispatching police teams to the accident site upon receiving notification at the control room. Investigations are ongoing to ascertain the sequence of events leading up to the collision.
