
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav participated in the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on Saturday, taking a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam. The grand religious gathering, which attracts millions of pilgrims from across India and abroad, holds immense spiritual and cultural significance.
Maha Kumbh: A Symbol of Heritage and Faith
Speaking to ANI, Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized the spiritual and ancestral importance of the Maha Kumbh, stating that it is rooted in planetary calculations and represents the rich cultural and religious heritage of India.
“Maha Kumbh is a symbol of our heritage and culture… This is the heritage of our ancestors and saints and comes from planetary calculations. We are fortunate to witness such a massive gathering that is unique to India,” said Sharma.
He also extended his gratitude to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the arrangements made for the Maha Kumbh under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, noting the large footfall of devotees from both India and abroad.
BJP’s Victory in Delhi Elections
Apart from religious discussions, Sharma also lauded the BJP’s landslide victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, stating that the people of the national capital have placed their trust in PM Narendra Modi and the double-engine government.
“People have faith in PM Modi because whatever he promises, he delivers. Delhi’s citizens believed that their development would be secured by the double-engine government, which is why they gave BJP a historic mandate. I congratulate PM Modi and the people of Delhi,” he said.
As per the latest Election Commission of India (ECI) update, the BJP has secured 37 seats and is leading in 11 more, while the AAP has won 17 seats and is leading in five. The Congress, for the third consecutive election, has failed to secure a single seat.
Election Results Overview
The BJP has won key seats including Shalimar Bagh, Rajouri Garden, Tri Nagar, Rajinder Nagar, Sangam Vihar, Greater Kailash, Patparganj, and Gandhi Nagar.
Meanwhile, the AAP has secured seats in Kondli, Delhi Cantt, Sultanpur Majra, Sadar Bazar, Chandni Chowk, Ballimaran, Tilak Nagar, Tughlaqabad, and Babarpur.
The Maha Kumbh Mela continues to be a significant religious event, drawing politicians, devotees, and tourists alike, reinforcing its importance in India’s spiritual and cultural landscape.
