Born on July 2, 1996, in Kozhikode, Kerala, India, he grew up in a family dedicated to public service, which profoundly influenced his career path. His father, Rajan Ottakandan, was a respected government teacher, and his mother, Omana P., served as a Deputy Head Mistress in the educational sector. This nurturing environment instilled in him a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to societal welfare.

Midhunraj’s academic journey reflects his dedication to both education and professional development. He completed his secondary education through the Niveditha Vidhya Peedom English Medium High School, Kozhikode and went on to earn his Higher Secondary Examination from the Government Model Higher Secondary School in Kozhikode. His thirst for knowledge led him to pursue a Diploma in Education from Devaki Amma Teacher Education College and later to earn a Bachelor of Arts in English from Annamalai University. In 2020, he completed another Bachelor of Arts degree from MATS University through distance education. Currently, he is pursuing a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from Tamil Nadu Teacher Education University, set to graduate in 2024.

Midhunraj’s career began in education, where he has made significant strides as a teacher in the General Education Department of the Government of Kerala. However, his aspirations extend far beyond the classroom. His passion for international relations and social development led him to engage with several prestigious global organizations. His notable work includes representing the Child Rights International Network (CRIN) at the United Nations’ 11th Annual Subcommittee Meeting of the Committee on Permanent Representatives held in Nairobi in 2019. This event marked a significant milestone in his career, showcasing his commitment to advocating for children’s rights on a global stage.

His involvement in various international summits, such as the Global Peace Summit in Dubai, where he served as a peace advocate, further underscores his dedication to promoting harmony and cooperation among nations. Midhunraj also participated as a speaker at the International Peace Development Conference in Malaysia, where he shared his insights on global peace initiatives and the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing pressing social issues.

Recognized for his exceptional contributions, Midhunraj has received numerous awards that highlight his impact in the fields of humanitarian work and international relations. He was honored with the Global Peace Citizen Award in 2019 by the Universal Peace Federation, reflecting his commitment to fostering peace and understanding across cultures. Additionally, he received the Peace Educator Award in 2017 and the Global Change Makers Award in 2020, which acknowledge his relentless efforts to create positive change in society.

Midhunraj’s work has not gone unnoticed; he has earned honorary titles, including an Honorary Doctor of Letters in Social Work from the Academy of Universal Global Peace in the USA and an Honorary Doctor of Letters in International Relations from the Royal American University. He was also recognized as the youngest International Relations Specialist by the World Record Certification Authority in London, showcasing his exceptional talent and potential in this field.

Beyond his academic and professional accomplishments, Midhunraj is a skilled martial artist, holding national medals in Kudo, Pencak Silat, and Karate. He is also a certified coach in Muay Thai and Kickboxing, demonstrating his dedication to physical fitness and discipline.
