Actor and Member of Parliament Hema Malini participated in the holy Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj earlier this week, marking her presence on the auspicious occasion of Mauni Amavasya. Amid the spiritual fervor, a lighthearted moment involving renowned yoga guru Baba Ramdev went viral on social media, showcasing a delightful interaction between the two.
The video captures Hema Malini, along with several other devotees, taking a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of three sacred rivers. However, it’s when Baba Ramdev takes his turn for the dip that the amusing moment unfolds. As a person unties Ramdev’s long locks, the yoga guru performs a dramatic hair flip, inadvertently smacking those standing behind him with his wet hair. The playful mishap happens twice, causing a burst of laughter from Hema Malini, who can be seen enjoying the moment thoroughly.
The video quickly gained traction, with fans and social media users finding humor in the unexpected incident. Baba Ramdev, known for his serious public image in the world of yoga, was caught in a rare candid moment that added a touch of humor to the otherwise solemn occasion.
Apart from Hema Malini, several other celebrities, including comedian Sunil Grover, filmmaker Kabir Khan, singer Guru Randhawa, actor Avinash Tiwary, and veteran actor Anupam Kher, have also attended the Maha Kumbh this year.
Hema Malini, a Mathura MP, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to partake in the religious gathering. Speaking about her experience, she said, “It is my good fortune that I got the opportunity to take a ‘snan’ on this auspicious day.”
The Maha Kumbh, which began on January 13, will continue until February 26, with major bathing dates still to come. The significant “snan” days remaining include February 3 (Basant Panchami), February 12 (Maghi Purnima), and February 26 (Maha Shivaratri).
During her visit, Hema Malini also met with Junapeethadhishwar Mahamandaleshwar Acharya Swami Avdheshanand Giri Ji Maharaj, known as ‘Pujya Prabhushri Ji,’ and received his blessings at the Prabhu Premi Sangh Kumbh Camp in Prayagraj.
The Kumbh Mela has drawn millions of devotees, with over 14.76 crore pilgrims taking a holy dip as of the latest count, making it one of the largest religious gatherings in the world. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, accompanied by his family, also visited the Maha Kumbh and met with spiritual leaders during his time in Prayagraj.
With such rich spiritual significance and memorable moments, this year’s Maha Kumbh continues to captivate the hearts of millions across the globe.
