In a significant development for fans of the popular TV show Jhanak, actor Krushal Ahuja has confirmed his departure from the series as it prepares to undergo a major transformation. The show is set to take a 20-year leap, ushering in a fresh storyline and a new cast—marking the end of Krushal’s character, Anirudh, and his journey.
Speaking exclusively about his exit, Krushal shared, “Yes, I am quitting the show. I was informed by the team yesterday. A mail was sent to the Jhanak team, and we were informed about the show taking a leap.”
The actor revealed that the decision is linked to the evolving plot. “The show is taking a leap, and the storyline will be different. My character’s (Anirudh) journey will end with the upcoming leap,” he explained.
When asked about his co-star Hiba Nawab, who plays the titular character of Jhanak, Krushal admitted he’s uncertain about her continuation on the show. “Honestly, I don’t know about anyone else, not even Hiba, for now. The team received the mail yesterday, and today I am the only one shooting. I haven’t had the chance to meet my fellow cast members. So, can’t really tell you who all are leaving, but the leap is happening,” he said.
Krushal, who has been part of Jhanak since its inception, also opened up about his plans post the show. “The last episode before the show takes a leap will be telecast in a month, and currently, we are shooting it. After the show, I plan to take a break and then return with something exciting,” he shared. “I am not restricted to doing only TV. I aim to work on all mediums. For now, I can tell you that I am planning to take a small break post-wrapping the show.”
As Jhanak prepares to embark on a new chapter with a fresh cast and storyline, fans are gearing up to bid farewell to the beloved characters who have become household names. Krushal’s exit, in particular, marks the end of an era for the show’s loyal viewers.
