
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar met with former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda at his residence in Bengaluru on Saturday morning. The details of their discussion were not disclosed to the media, as reported by ANI.
Upon his arrival, Vice President Dhankhar was welcomed by Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy, who also shared images of the meeting on social media. This encounter followed their participation in a session at Adichunchanagiri University in Mandya on Friday, where they engaged with students as part of the Samvada Induction Program.
During this session, both leaders exchanged views on crucial national issues, emphasizing strategies to strengthen the nation and advance the vision of “Atmanirbhar Bharat,” or self-reliant India. Their discussions underscored the significance of sustainable growth and innovative development pathways aimed at inspiring future leaders.
After the event, Vice President Dhankhar and HD Deve Gowda traveled back to Bengaluru together in the same helicopter, continuing their dialogue on national development and empowerment strategies.
In a post on X, Vice President Dhankhar shared a video from his address at the university, highlighting India’s rising potential across various sectors, including the blue and space economies. He encouraged thinking beyond traditional boundaries, stating, “India is rising on sea, on land, in sky and space. There are opportunities by way of the blue economy and space economy.”
Further addressing the nation’s inclusivity, Dhankhar stated that India has a rich civilizational ethos that should guide global peace and harmony. He expressed concern over elements within the country spreading misinformation, which he deemed harmful to national unity. “Young people have to neutralize these tendencies that do not augur well for our nationalism,” he remarked.
The Vice President also praised Adichunchanagiri University for its commitment to serving marginalized communities, describing it as an exemplary response to critics of Sanatan Dharma. Additionally, he launched “DigiMed,” an AI-driven digital education platform aimed at enhancing learning for medical students.
