In a significant move towards the development of Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that the state cabinet has approved 14 projects during a meeting held at the Ramkatha Mandap on the banks of the Saryu river. Adityanath highlighted the historic nature of the meeting, emphasizing that it adds a new chapter to the history of Uttar Pradesh.
The chief minister shared that the first proposal involves the establishment of an Inland Waterways Authority in Uttar Pradesh, aimed at enhancing water transport and promoting water tourism. He stated that the decision reflects the government’s commitment to bolstering infrastructure and facilitating economic growth.
Adityanath further disclosed approvals for the creation of Ayodhya Tirth Vikas Parishad and Ma Pateshesri Dham Tirth Vikas Parishad. Additionally, regulations for flying drones in the state were given the green light, showcasing a comprehensive approach to governance and development.
The announcement comes on a significant date, November 9, when the Supreme Court passed its historic verdict in 2019 on the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi case, paving the way for the construction of the Ram Temple. Ahead of the cabinet meeting, Adityanath and his ministers paid homage at Hanuman Garhi and the Ram Temple.
Massive security arrangements were put in place for the event, with the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) deployed across the city to ensure the safety of the meeting. Cabinet minister Nand Gopal Nandi expressed the historical significance of the day, stating that it will be written in golden letters in the history of the country and the state.
