The Thrissur City Police department shared a video of the amusing confrontation on social media, gaining thousands of likes and views while highlighting the ingenuity of cybercriminals and the sharp response from law enforcement.

The video begins with the scammer, dressed in a police uniform, introducing himself as an officer from Mumbai. At first, the real cop plays along, mentioning that his camera isn’t working properly. However, moments later, as he repositions his camera to reveal his full face, the situation takes a hilarious turn.

The officer casually asks, “What do you do?” This question catches the scammer off-guard. Realizing his blunder, the scammer laughs nervously, but the officer doesn’t miss the opportunity to call him out. With calm authority, the real cop warns, “Stop doing this work… I have your address, your location, and everything. This is Cyber Cell. It’s best you stop doing this work.”

The video ends with the scammer stunned and speechless, unable to recover from his mistake. The Thrissur City Police shared the clip with a lighthearted caption, “The tiger who caught the tiger.” The video quickly went viral, amassing over 242,000 views and more than 10,000 likes.

The video has also sparked conversations about the importance of staying vigilant against cybercriminals, as well as the ability of law enforcement to turn the tables in such situations.

As the post continues to circulate, it serves as a reminder that even the most skilled scammers can sometimes become the victims of their own tricks.
