Noida Teacher Caught on Camera Thrashing Special Needs Child, FIR Filed

Date:

Noida police have registered a case against a school teacher after a disturbing video surfaced showing him physically assaulting a special needs child in a classroom. The incident took place at Green Ribbon International School in Noida’s Sector 55 and came to light when the victim’s parents found the video circulating in a school WhatsApp group.

Shocking Classroom Abuse

According to the FIR filed on Saturday, the parents of the 10-year-old boy alleged that teacher Anil Kumar repeatedly hit their son because he was unable to follow a lesson and answer questions. The parents said they had enrolled their son at the school after being assured that he would receive special care and attention.

The video shows the teacher attempting to make the child complete a ‘match-the-following’ exercise. When the boy struggles to answer, Mr. Kumar shouts at him and strikes him on the hand. As the teacher’s frustration escalates, he is seen pulling the boy roughly and shaking him. In the background, the sounds of slaps and loud scolding can be heard.

“In the video, we can clearly see our child being beaten violently. This is completely unacceptable, especially for a child with special needs,” the parents stated in their complaint.

Parents Demand Justice

The parents accused the teacher of subjecting their son to “grossly inhuman treatment” and alleged that the school’s principal and vice-principal were aware of previous similar incidents. They claimed that their child was deeply distressed and fearful after the incident.

“Our son needs special care and attention, not violence. The school management had assured us of his safety, but this incident has left him traumatized,” they stated.

Legal Action Initiated

Following the complaint, a case has been registered against the teacher, and the school principal has assured the parents that Mr. Kumar will be suspended. The police are currently investigating the incident, and further action will be taken based on their findings.
