Hayat Arts: Fostering Unity Through Art in Dubai.

Founded in December 2023 by sisters Safa and Sarah Peshimam, Hayat Arts has quickly become a significant force in Dubai’s contemporary art scene. Safa, an internationally acclaimed artist and published poet, alongside Sarah, a skilled graphic and interior designer, established Hayat Arts to create a platform that nurtures both emerging and established artists.

In just six months, Hayat Arts has organized nine exhibitions, each uniquely designed to showcase talent and promote diversity. The organization’s inaugural exhibition, “Bidayatan” (The Beginning), set the tone for their commitment to inclusivity by featuring 22 artists from various nationalities. Following this, the “Whispers of Love” exhibition in February explored themes of love, passion, and empathy.

During Ramadan, Hayat Arts presented “Iman,” a 50-day-long exhibition that introduced new and first-time artists to the Dubai art community. The organization also marked International Women’s Day with “Legendary Queens,” a live painting workshop celebrating the strength and resilience of women. Subsequent exhibitions like “Tranquility,” which honored the beauty of Mother Nature, continued to emphasize diversity by featuring artists from across the globe.

The “Voyage – Unity in 7” project, a key initiative by Hayat Arts, symbolizes cohesion among the seven emirates of the UAE. The project’s first two exhibitions in Ajman and Dubai highlighted the organization’s mission to unite through art, featuring numerous artists and drawing widespread acclaim.

Hayat Arts also organized “DIGI FACE OFF,” its first virtual art competition, which received an overwhelming response. The competition featured categories for both kids and adults, with winners being recognized for their outstanding contributions.

The ninth exhibition, “Freedom,” held on August 10th, was a resounding success, capturing the hearts and minds of all who attended. As the grand kickoff to the Independence celebrations, Hayat Arts masterfully curated an event that resonated with the theme of peace and harmony, honoring the rich cultural heritage of India and Pakistan. The exhibition showcased 22 stunning artworks from 13 extraordinarily talented artists, each piece reflecting the spirit of freedom and unity.

The event was more than just an art exhibition—it was a vibrant celebration of creativity, culture, and connection. With an impressive turnout of guests, art enthusiasts, and supporters, the atmosphere was electric, filled with lively discussions, awe-inspiring artistry, and a shared appreciation for the powerful messages conveyed through the art. “Freedom” was not only a visual feast but also a deeply emotional and unifying experience, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who participated. This event undoubtedly set a new standard for artistic expression and cultural celebration, making it a highlight of the year and a must-attend occasion for years to come.

With its innovative approach and dedication to fostering new talent, Hayat Arts has solidified its role as a dynamic and inclusive force in the Dubai art scene. Through its exhibitions and projects, Hayat Arts continues to celebrate diversity and promote unity, making it a vital destination for artists and art enthusiasts alike.
