Gautam Adani Attends Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj with Family, Joins Rituals and Distributes 'Mahaprasad'

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, accompanied by his wife Priti Adani and their son Karan Adani, attended the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj today, participating in various sacred rituals at one of the world’s largest spiritual gatherings.

The Adani family visited the iconic Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers, where they offered prayers. Gautam Adani, along with his family, also took part in the preparation and distribution of the ‘Mahaprasad’ (sacred meal) to the pilgrims gathered at the Mela ground. Following the prayers, the family was seen enjoying the prasad together, joining in the shared spirit of devotion and togetherness.

Speaking to the media after the visit, Gautam Adani expressed his gratitude to the Uttar Pradesh administration, sanitation workers, and the police personnel for their efforts in organizing the Kumbh Mela, which is expected to attract an estimated 40 crore devotees. He acknowledged the hard work that goes into ensuring the safety and sanctity of the event, emphasizing the importance of service and faith in such a grand occasion.

The Adani Group has partnered with the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) to provide meals to the millions of devotees attending the Mela. This initiative is part of their commitment to offering support and nourishment to the pilgrims during the festival.

In his tweet, Adani praised the unity of faith, service, and culture at the Maha Kumbh, stating, “Amazing, unique, and extraordinary! After coming to Prayagraj, it felt as if the faith, service spirit, and cultures of the entire world had come together with Mother Ganga. I thank with all my heart the government administration, sanitation workers, and security forces who are ready to serve all the sages, saints, Kalpavasis, and devotees who keep the grandeur and divinity of Kumbh alive. May the blessings of Maa Ganga remain on all of us.”

The Maha Kumbh Mela, which commenced on January 13, continues to see a massive turnout. On the ninth day of the event, over 1.59 million devotees braved the cold to take a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam. According to reports from the Uttar Pradesh government, more than 88.1 million devotees had visited the Sangam by January 20, solidifying the Kumbh Mela’s status as one of the largest human gatherings in the world.
