In a disturbing escalation of security threats, several schools in Delhi, including the prestigious Delhi Public School in RK Puram and Ryan International School in Vasant Kunj, received bomb threat emails on Saturday. This follows a similar series of threats made to 30 schools the previous day, raising alarm among parents, students, and school authorities.
The threatening emails signed by an individual claiming to be “Barry Allah,” contained alarming messages of violence and retribution. The email read: “Allah sees your efforts to resist his punishment. But they are futile. For no mortal being can escape the judgement of Allah.” It also stated that anyone opposing Allah was considered an “enemy” of the world, with further references to Prophet Muhammad. The message ominously declared that the school buildings would be destroyed when students were not present, and that the bomb vests allegedly worn by the perpetrators were “blessed by the Prophet Muhammad.”
Despite the threats, police authorities launched immediate investigations and conducted extensive searches at the affected schools. However, as of now, no suspicious objects or explosives have been discovered on the premises. Delhi Police assured the public that the investigation was ongoing and that the safety of students and staff remains a top priority.
In connection with the bomb threats received on Friday, East Delhi Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Ravi Kumar Singh revealed that the emails were traced to servers located outside the country. This adds another layer of complexity to the investigation, which is focused on identifying the perpetrators and determining the motives behind these hoaxes.
The bomb threats have raised serious concerns among parents, many of whom have expressed frustration and anxiety over the constant need to monitor their phones for updates regarding their children’s safety. Some parents have called for more stringent measures to protect schools and their students from such unsettling threats.
These recent threats follow a similar incident earlier in the week when over 44 schools were targeted by bomb threat emails. That email, which demanded $30,000, claimed that multiple bombs had been planted inside the targeted buildings. The sender also threatened harm to students and staff, saying, “You all deserve to suffer and lose limbs.” Police have linked the Friday and Monday incidents to separate groups, though the precise origin and motive remain under investigation.
Authorities continue to emphasize that while these threats have caused widespread concern, they appear to be hoaxes designed to provoke fear rather than cause actual harm. Nevertheless, the persistence of such threats highlights the growing need for heightened vigilance and security measures at educational institutions across Delhi.
As investigations progress, Delhi’s schools remain on high alert, with police working to trace the individuals behind these disturbing threats.
