The accident occurred as Ms. Mufti was en route to Khanabal to meet victims of a recent fire accident. The collision, captured in pictures from the accident site, showcased the extent of the damage sustained by her official vehicle.

Fortunately, Ms. Mufti emerged unscathed from the incident, escaping without any injuries. However, a police officer in her personal security detail was reported to have been injured during the collision.

“Ms. Mufti’s car met with a terrible accident en route to Anantnag today. Thanks to the grace of God, she & her security officers escaped unhurt without any serious injuries,” reassured her daughter Iltija in a post on social media.
