In light of ongoing farmers’ protests causing traffic disruptions in the national capital, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a directive urging students to utilize Delhi Metro services to reach their exam centers for the Class 10 and 12 board examinations. The exams, scheduled from February 15 to March 13, pose potential challenges for students navigating through traffic constraints.
Expressing concern over possible delays due to the prevailing situation, CBSE emphasized the importance of students leaving their homes early to ensure punctuality at their designated exam centers. “Due to the prevailing situation in Delhi, it is expected that there will be traffic-related issues which may cause delay in reaching the examination center,” stated CBSE in its advisory.
To mitigate potential disruptions, CBSE recommended students to leverage the smoothly functioning Delhi Metro services for convenient transportation to their exam centers. This proactive approach aims to minimize any adverse impact on students’ exam schedules amid the ongoing protests.
With over 3.9 million students from 26 countries participating in the CBSE board examinations this year, including 5,80,192 students appearing at 877 centers in Delhi, the need for efficient transportation solutions is paramount. CBSE has underscored the importance of adhering to the scheduled exam timings and advised students to reach their centers well before the commencement of exams.
“All CBSE students all over India and other countries are also requested to reach the examination centre on or before 10.00 am (IST) keeping in mind the local conditions, traffic, weather conditions, distance, etc… Only those students will be allowed entry who arrive at 10.00,” reiterated CBSE.
As students prepare to sit for their crucial board examinations, CBSE’s advisory serves as a timely reminder to prioritize punctuality and make use of alternative transportation options to navigate through the challenging traffic conditions in the national capital.
