Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court has rejected Arvind Kejriwal's plea for an extension of his interim bail on medical grounds. As a result, the Chief Minister of Delhi will remain in Tihar Jail, with his judicial custody extended until June 19.

His journey to jail was not direct; he first visited Rajghat to honor Mahatma Gandhi, then the Hanuman mandir, and finally, the Aam Aadmi Party headquarters before heading to jail, where he had been released on interim bail by the Supreme Court 21 days prior.

Arvind Kejriwal Announces Plan to Surrender on Sunday

However, his hopes for an immediate hearing were dashed as the vacation bench stated that only Chief Justice DY Chandrachud would decide when the plea would be heard.
