Delhi Sees Light Rain and Temperature Rise, AQI Remains Satisfactory

Delhi experienced a slight increase in temperature on Saturday while continuing to receive light rain in various parts of the city. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature for the day was recorded at 35.5°C, marginally higher than the previous day's 35.2°C. The minimum temperature was logged at 27.2°C, up from Friday's 25.3°C.

Minister Clarifies Error After Mungeshpur Weather Station Reports 52.9°C in Delhi

The Earth Sciences Minister Kiren Rijiju clarified that the weather station in Delhi's Mungeshpur, which reported an unprecedented temperature of 52.9 degrees Celsius on May 29, had a sensor error. This temperature, initially recorded as the highest ever in India, was found to be three degrees higher than readings from standard instruments.
