Atul Anand is not just running races—he’s rewriting what it means to chase excellence in two vastly different worlds: competitive athletics and high-tech innovation.
A national-level sprinter from Bihar and a System Solutions Architect at World Wide Technology (WWT), Atul’s story is one of grit, growth, and grace under pressure. With a rare blend of discipline, consistency, and quiet determination, he has emerged as a force—both on the track and in the world of global technology.
Coming from a state where sports infrastructure is limited and opportunities scarce, Atul’s achievements stand tall. He has qualified for six national athletics championships—an incredibly demanding feat in India’s multilayered selection system of district, state, and zonal levels. His speed is undeniable, but it’s his mental stamina, relentless work ethic, and year-round focus that set him apart.
Since joining WWT, Atul has already made waves, winning two top honors in less than a year: the Top Producer Award and the Passion and Ethics Award. These accolades reflect the same values that have propelled him forward on the track—integrity, drive, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
Currently crowned the fastest male athlete in Bihar after his win at the recent State Championship, Atul has been a consistent podium finisher since 2021. His collection of gold and silver medals continues to grow, and he was recently named Overall Champion and Best Athlete of the State.
A defining moment in his athletic career came in 2023, when he shattered the elusive sub-11-second barrier in the 100m—a milestone that signals elite-level potential.
Yet, what makes Atul’s journey especially compelling is how he balances this with a demanding tech career. “In India, most kids are told to focus only on studies and get a job,” Atul reflects. “I did that—but I never let go of my dreams.” Supported by his family and driven by an equal passion for engineering and athletics, he has managed to juggle academics, earning, and sport since childhood.
Before WWT, he spent five formative years at Larsen & Toubro, where he built a solid foundation. Now, at WWT, he’s thriving in a high-impact role, proving that one can scale new heights in both career and sport with the right mindset.
But Atul’s success isn’t his alone. He believes deeply in lifting others. Known for his infectious positivity, he motivates fellow athletes in gyms and on tracks, mentoring juniors, especially those struggling with the constant tug-of-war between academics and athletics.
Behind the scenes, Atul is also quietly nurturing two entrepreneurial ventures—both tied to fitness and innovation. “They’re still in stealth mode,” he says, “but they keep me learning and excited.”
His larger vision goes beyond medals and tech milestones. “One day, I want kids who are pressured to give up sports to look at me and think—if Atul can do it, so can I. That’s why I want to win. To set an example. To show that chasing dreams doesn’t have to be either-or.”
