Bomb Threats at St. Stephen’s College and Noida Schools Trigger Evacuations, Search Operations Underway

St. Stephen’s College in Delhi and two schools in Noida—Ahlcon International School in Mayur Vihar Phase 1 and Shiv Nadar School—received bomb threats via email on Friday morning, prompting immediate evacuations and large-scale search operations by bomb and dog squads.

Authorities swiftly responded to the threats, evacuating students and staff while deploying bomb disposal teams. As a precaution, the affected schools informed parents and advised them to keep their children at home. Those who had already boarded school buses were sent back.

Police Conducting Intensive Search Operations

Delhi Police confirmed that St. Stephen’s College received the threat at 7:42 AM via email. “Our Bomb Disposal Team is at the spot,” the police statement read. A similar situation unfolded in Noida, where security personnel, including bomb squads and police teams, were deployed at the threatened schools to ensure safety.

Threats Follow Recent Hoax Bomb Case in Noida

These threats come just a day after a Class 9 student was taken into custody for allegedly sending hoax bomb threats to four Noida schools earlier this week.

According to Noida Police, the 15-year-old used Virtual Private Network (VPN) technology to conceal his IP address, hoping to avoid attending school. He was presented before a Juvenile Court after being taken into custody.

The previous hoax threats targeted Step By Step, The Heritage School, Gyanshree, and Mayoor School in Noida. Authorities were alerted after the schools received the emails at around 12:30 AM on Wednesday. Following security sweeps, no explosives were found.

Investigation Underway

Police are currently investigating whether the latest bomb threats are linked to the previous hoax incident. Security measures have been heightened across educational institutions in the region.

No casualties or damage have been reported so far, but officials are treating the threats with utmost seriousness. Authorities have urged people to remain calm while the investigation continues.
