HD Kumaraswamy Hospitalized After Nosebleed During Media Briefing

Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy experienced a sudden nosebleed while addressing the media at Bengaluru’s Gold Finch Hotel on Thursday. The incident occurred mid-speech and was captured on camera, showing his shirt stained with blood.

Kumaraswamy was swiftly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. According to sources, the Minister was later discharged and returned to his residence. In a statement following his release, Kumaraswamy explained that he has a history of heart valve replacement surgeries and is on blood-thinning medication. He attributed the nosebleed to stress and lack of rest, common issues for him due to his medical condition.

“Given my medical history and the medication I take, experiencing nosebleeds under stress is not unusual,” Kumaraswamy said. “Doctors have advised me to reduce my workload and take some time to rest.”

Despite the alarming moment, Kumaraswamy reassured his supporters that there was no need for concern. “As long as I have your good wishes, God’s grace, and my parents’ blessings, there is no danger,” he stated. He urged his party workers and supporters to stay calm, emphasizing that his health issue was temporary.

Earlier in the day, during a BJP-JDS coordination committee meeting, plans were discussed for a foot march from Bengaluru to Mysore. The march aims to protest against the ruling Congress government and address recent allegations of corruption.
