Probe Agency Opposes Arvind Kejriwal's Interim Bail Plea in Court

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) opposed Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s application for interim bail in a money laundering case related to the alleged Delhi excise policy scam. The national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) sought a week-long interim bail on health grounds.

The ED presented their case before Special Judge Kaveri Baweja, arguing that Kejriwal has suppressed facts and made false statements, including claims about his health. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, representing the ED, accused Kejriwal of making misleading statements during a press conference on Friday, where he asserted he would surrender on June 2.

Kejriwal’s counsel argued that the Chief Minister is unwell and requires medical treatment. The AAP leader had previously been granted interim bail by the Supreme Court, which is set to expire on June 1.
