In a fortunate turn of events, a private luxury bus carrying 36 passengers narrowly escaped disaster when it caught fire on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway. The incident, which occurred early Saturday morning near Adhe village in Maval, resulted in no casualties or injuries, according to officials.

The fire was reportedly caused by a tyre burst followed by a short circuit, leading to the rapid engulfing of the bus in flames. Fortunately, the passengers and the bus driver were evacuated safely without any harm. Authorities acted swiftly, with teams from the State Highway Police, IRB, Traffic Police, and Fire Brigade arriving at the scene promptly to extinguish the blaze.
