AAP Alleges "Conspiracy to Kill" Arvind Kejriwal Amid Diet Controversy

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has raised serious concerns over the health and safety of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, alleging a “conspiracy to kill” him amid a controversy surrounding his diet. Kejriwal’s legal team has emphasized that his diet is prescribed by his doctor, but the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) recent actions have sparked controversy and accusations of political vendetta.

Atishi, a prominent AAP leader, made startling claims on Thursday evening, accusing the ED and by extension the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of endangering Kejriwal’s life. She asserted that despite Kejriwal being a Type 2 diabetes patient and needing insulin, his requests for proper medical care were allegedly ignored. The ED, which arrested Kejriwal in March on charges related to the liquor policy scam, opposed a video consult with his regular doctor, citing concerns over his diet and consumption of mangoes, sweets, and tea with sugar.

Atishi claimed that the ED’s arguments were based on misinformation, highlighting that Kejriwal’s diet includes low-calorie sweeteners and prescribed foods to manage his diabetes. She criticized the ED’s portrayal of Kejriwal’s diet, including a one-time consumption of oil-rich Kejriwal’s arrest by the ED in March, linked to alleged irregularities in Delhi’s liquor policy, has been met with strong resistance from the AAP. They have consistently labeled it as political vendetta, timed strategically before the Lok Sabha elections. Kejriwal has challenged his arrest in the Supreme Court, with a hearing scheduled for April 29.

The escalating controversy surrounding Arvind Kejriwal’s diet and the allegations of a “conspiracy to kill” him have further heightened political tensions. The AAP’s accusations against the ED and the BJP underscore the deepening divide in the political landscape, with Kejriwal’s health becoming a focal point in the ongoing legal and political battle.
