Arvind Kejriwal Asserts "Not A Terrorist" Message Amid Jail Controversy

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s statement from jail, declaring “he is not a terrorist,” has sparked a heated exchange between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and BJP leaders. The controversy revolves around the extensive surveillance on Kejriwal during his incarceration and allegations of mistreatment.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh conveyed Kejriwal’s message to the public, emphasizing that Kejriwal’s meetings, even with family members, are monitored through glass partitions. Singh criticized the Prime Minister and BJP for what he deemed as actions driven by hatred.

Singh’s remarks come in the context of Kejriwal’s arrest in connection with a money laundering case linked to Delhi’s former liquor policy. Kejriwal has challenged his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate in the Supreme Court.

Singh’s sentiments were echoed by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who highlighted the lack of basic facilities afforded to Kejriwal in jail. Mann expressed dismay at the treatment Kejriwal received, questioning the rationale behind such stringent measures.

In response, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari clarified that they are not labeling Kejriwal as a terrorist but rather accusing him of corruption. Tiwari criticized Kejriwal for alleged failures in governance, citing issues related to pensions, ration cards, and basic amenities like clean water and air in Delhi.

Tiwari stressed that the law applies equally to everyone and that Kejriwal should have considered the consequences before engaging in alleged misconduct.
