Migrant Worker from UP Fatally Shot in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir; Security Forces on High Alert

A migrant worker from Uttar Pradesh became the victim of a tragic terrorist attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. The assailants fired upon the laborer, identified as Mukesh, in the Tumchi Nowpora area of Pulwama. Regrettably, Mukesh succumbed to his injuries, and the area has been cordoned off by security forces.

This unfortunate incident marks the second terror attack in Pulwama in the past 24 hours. On the previous day, Inspector Masroor Ahmad Wani was targeted, sustaining three gunshot wounds while playing cricket in the Eidgah area.

In response to these attacks, security forces have escalated their efforts to ensure the safety of the region’s residents. Vehicle and pedestrian checks have been intensified not only in Pulwama but also in various parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Mobile vehicle checkpoints have been set up at key intersections in Srinagar and at the city’s exit points.

These security measures aim to curb further acts of violence and protect the public from potential threats. The recent incidents underscore the ongoing challenges faced by the region and the importance of maintaining vigilant security operations in Jammu and Kashmir.
