Vision Friend Sakib Gore’s Mission to Provide Free Eye Care Services to All”

Vision Friend is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing free eye care services to those in need, ensuring that everyone has access to Free quality eye care, regardless of Religion, Case and Economic Factors . Founded by Social worker Sakib Gore in 1992, the organization serves the vision impairment community in 1217 rural towns, villages, and hamlets in Maharashtra.

Sakib Gore funds all of Vision Friend’s work himself, having been awarded the highest social work award for civilians in Maharashtra for his humanitarian efforts. With a team of dedicated eye care professionals, the organization has provided free eye exams to 15 Lakh Needy People, distributed 10 lakh Free glasses, and performed 50 thousand Free cataract surgeries in the past 31 years.

The mission of Vision Friend is to eradicate curable blindness in their region and raise awareness regarding eye care issues. A Documentary “In Pursuit Of Light” Has been Made on The Life Journey of Sakib Gore. This Documentary Focuses on Curable Blindness Awareness and has Won 107 Awards in National and International Film Festivals . Through outreach programs and awareness campaigns, the organization is dedicated to improving access to eye care services for those in need.

Sakib Gore’s journey from a truck labor to a humanitarian is an inspiration. Growing up in interior regions of Maharashtra, he was touched by the issue of curable blindness at a young age and realized he could help turn darkness into light with just a 15-minute operation. The dedicated team at Vision Friend shares this passion for making a difference and improving people’s lives through access to quality eye care.
