Nilesh Ambedkar Won The "Best Director Award" At The Asian Talent International Film Festival

Nashik (Reporter) – Director Nilesh Ambedkar honored with the “Best Director – Jury Award” for his short film “Munghyar” at the Asian Talent International Film Festival.

Nilesh Ambedkar was presented with the award by Author, Director Dr. Devdutt Mhatre, The guest of the program at Aurangabad (Sambhaji Nagar) recently.

In the same festival, Nilesh Ambedkar’s short film “Chirbhog” bagged the “Best Short Film Award”, produced by Rahul Sonawane and screenplay written by Sanjay Bharatiya.

Manisha Shende, a tribal girl, was also honored with the best actress award for Ambedkar’s short film “Ladli”

Director Nilesh Ambedkar accepted all the three awards from dignitaries at the award ceremony held at Maulana Azad Research Centre, Aurangabad (Sambhaji Nagar). Many veterans and other dignitaries from the field of cinema were present on this occasion

Munghyar is the story of a tribal family and the injustice faced by that family due to the tyranny of the caste panchayat. Munghyar comments on education, child marriage and the caste system, against the tyrannical system of caste panchayats.

Director Nilesh Ambedkar, while producing his film, chooses realistic subjects that come into our daily lives and treats them in an interesting way on screen, but the use of symbols that are indirect in it is Nilesh Ambedkar’s vision of bringing about a change in society.

Recently Ambedkar’s short film “Munghyar” won the National Award in the 7th National Short Film Competition organized by the National Human Rights Commission, Government of India.
