Discovering ourselves through Ahamm – the polymath genius India is hiding

Today’s artists hardly ever delve into the genuine depth of art through a mosaic of ancient life, philosophy, history, or science in its spiritual sense. Adithya A Bhat, well known by his artist moniker AHAMM, claims that “art has increasingly become a vehicle of impression rather than expression today.”

While we first encountered him through one of our art curators, who raved about how this artist incorporates stories, music, and art into all of his works, we couldn’t help but be drawn in after listening to a few of his online tracks. Ahamm wasn’t any less cryptic until he revealed his profound feeling of fulness and hollowness where all of his art came from. The lyrics, music, and singing were all incredibly multi-layered in viewpoint.

He claims, “Art keeps me grounded and sane. It is the middle ground I have constructed for understanding through the lens of ruth and truth, and it has healed me from the deepest places.
We were able to hear a track he was working on in his studio after a few hours. We couldn’t help but become divided by the entire experience because of the sensation of relief and curiosity we experienced.

I can only describe what I heard as giving me goosebumps. He has performed live events all around the nation and plans to attempt something new soon. He is attempting to incorporate tribal and archaic sounds into electronic music. They also served as Parvaaz’s opening act in Bangalore through the joint band “Project Ahamm”! being the sole local band to achieve so. Vernacular sounds will make a significant comeback Since they can tell the oldest tales and are especially endearing for their innocence, which may move anyone to tears.

The modern audience want connection, and once linked, they seek deeper exploration. Who is this investigation about? neither my music nor I. They are merely learning about themselves. Thus, I claim that music is a powerful medium.
Ahamm interrupts us right away and makes us experience what he was attempting to describe. He brought out a strange-looking flute, put it on our heads, and began playing! They say time flies, but in this case it vanished.

He asked whether we could experience the story with almost crescent-shaped eyes as he felt a tremendous sense of satisfaction. Ahamm is a multi-disciplined healer that utilises the healing properties of sound, art therapy, and a process known as “GENETIC BRAIN PROFILING” to effect profound change and release within the psyche. He continues, “There is vulnerability in us that is not a dis-ability that needs to be protected, but rather an “ability” that really is the tipping point to explore the self. It is a massive shedding of one-self. Like how a snake sheds its past. Its our only chance of transformation. Mental health problems result from a sense of suppression or conditioning that paints a mental series of images that we try in vain to project, hiding our shadow or dark side. We repeatedly watch our own movie in this mental realm until we begin to believe it to be real.

It’s like the power that causes a flower to bloom; it’s invisible yet extremely potent. That is shakti (feminine), and when compared to a flower, shakti can bloom Shiva (masculine). This digression took us off topic and into a discussion that was not the topic of this post. But gosh, what an eye-opening change in perspective. In order to put it simply, he says that “the two dualities of life are regulated by light and shadow, love and hate, man and woman, purusha and prakriti, Ida and Pingala, shiva and shakti name it there’s always one and zero.”

Ahamm invited us inside his studio, where we were surprised to find something so complex and significant that isn’t abstract but still has a childlike and mystical quality to it. There’s a whole new world here. We questioned him about the cost of the artwork, and his reply, “Pick what you want, pay what you like,” was perplexing. Wait for it, then. He continues by saying that he doesn’t think it’s important to sign the artwork because he considers himself to be merely a conduit for the expression of the universal force. Do God’s signatures appear on leaves, flowers, or trees.

If someone feels alive as a result of my artwork, then that is the sole indication of God! That is sufficient proof, and what someone pays is irrelevant,” he chuckles. There is no question that his art expressed this intention!
“All that I am today is only due to my fine circle of people who have supported me with love, work, and even emotionally during trying times,” he claims. He can never forget the contribution of his close friends and family who still have faith in him, as well as the support of his wife Deeksha, who is also an artist and a pillar in his life! He claims to love it as they both paint together! Ahamm continues, “We chose to get married after we met through an artwork.” We were also experiencing way too many “whatttt” moments at this time.
After receiving their bachelor’s degrees in architecture, Ahamm and Deeksha are currently employed as marketing and branding specialists. Deeksha also owns the vegan ice cream business Dittoo Ice Creams. They want to develop and produce more brands that promote ethical sourcing and conscious eating. They also work on wall paintings and murals, and their main interests include sustainable architecture and interior design. With all the different interests I’ve had, I feel that this is where I could discover the melting pot, adds Ahamm, “we approach every design/brand holistically as it is what is needed of the hour.” He loves to direct, write scripts, and compose music for commercials and projects.
Throughout our talk, I could see that they both love movies and the arts. We enquire as to which of all his feathers he adores the best. After all of this is finished, he ends by saying that he appreciates the condition of “being”!
