
Ajay Devgn and his son, Yug Devgan, have been roped in to lend their voices for the Hindi version of Karate Kid: Legends, which is set for release in India on May 30, 2025. This collaboration marks a milestone in Ajay Devgn’s illustrious career, as it is his first-ever voiceover for an international film.
Ajay Devgn will voice the iconic character Mr. Han, originally portrayed by the legendary Jackie Chan. Meanwhile, his son, Yug, will make his debut in the world of voice acting as LiFong, a character played by Ben Wang in the original.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the exciting news on his Instagram, revealing that the film will be released across India in multiple languages, including Hindi, English, Tamil, and Telugu. He posted, “In a groundbreaking collaboration, Sony Pictures Entertainment India has brought together Ajay Devgn and his son Yug Devgan for the Hindi version of Karate Kid: Legends. Ajay lends his voice to Mr. Han, while Yug makes his much-anticipated debut as LiFong.”
The Karate Kid: Legends film is directed by Jonathan Entwistle and written by Rob Lieber. Set three years after the events of the popular television series Cobra Kai (2018-2025), the movie is the sixth installment in The Karate Kid franchise. The film features both Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio reprising their iconic roles, while Ben Wang stars as the main lead.
The movie also features an ensemble cast with Joshua Jackson, Sadie Stanley, and Ming-Na Wen. Notably, this is the first film in the series not produced by Jerry Weintraub, the famed producer who passed away in 2015.
