Indore Exemplifies Cleanliness Post PM Modi's Directive: Maintains 'Cleanest City' Streak

Indore, known for its consistent recognition as the cleanest city in India, showcased its commitment to cleanliness immediately after a mega roadshow attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Following the Prime Minister’s direction, BJP Karyakartas swiftly organized a clean-up of the entire road and its surroundings, underscoring Indore’s dedication to maintaining its cleanest city status.

For the sixth consecutive time in 2022, Indore secured the title of ‘India’s Cleanest City’ at the Swachh Survekshan Awards conducted by the Union government. The city’s efficient processing of 1,900 tons of urban waste daily, generating revenue and fueling its buses, contributed to this remarkable achievement.

Indore’s waste management system goes beyond the typical ‘dry’ and ‘wet’ segregation, incorporating six categories at collection points. This meticulous approach to waste disposal has been a key factor in Indore’s continued success in cleanliness rankings.

During PM Modi’s election meetings in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday, he boarded an open ‘chariot’ from the Bada Ganpati square, traveling through a dedicated ‘saffron corridor’ covering Indore-1, Indore-4, and Indore-3 assembly constituencies. The journey, spanning approximately 1.5 km, concluded at the Rajbada intersection in the heart of the city.

As Madhya Pradesh gears up for polls on November 17, with vote counting scheduled for December 3, Indore’s commitment to cleanliness serves as a shining example and reinforces its position as a role model for other cities across the nation.
