Renowned actor Trisha Krishnan is set to make a noteworthy return to Telugu cinema after nearly a decade with her inclusion in the cast of Chiranjeevi-starrer “Vishwambhara.” The announcement was made by Trisha herself on her social media accounts, labeling the moment as her ‘homecoming’ to the Telugu film industry.
Trisha, who last appeared in a Telugu film nine years ago, shared the exciting news on her Instagram and X accounts, posting pictures of her warm welcome on the film’s sets. Chiranjeevi, along with the entire cast and crew, greeted Trisha as she joined the shoot for “Vishwambhara” on Monday.
In her posts, Trisha expressed her feelings, stating, “Guess this is what homecoming feels like. When magic and nature’s wonder take centre stage… Vishwambhara.”
This collaboration marks the second film together for Trisha and Chiranjeevi. They previously shared the screen in the 2006 hit film “Stalin,” directed by AR Murugadoss, which garnered immense success.
Chiranjeevi also shared a video capturing the warm welcome extended to Trisha on the sets, showcasing the camaraderie between the actors. The video features Trisha’s joyful interaction with Chiranjeevi and the rest of the team.
Interestingly, Trisha was initially set to star in Chiranjeevi’s 2022 film “Acharya” but had to withdraw due to creative differences. She was replaced by Kajal Aggarwal.
Trisha’s return to Telugu cinema marks a significant moment for her fans, especially after her successful debut in the industry with the 2004 film “Varsham.”
“Vishwambhara,” a fantasy drama directed by Vassishta, has already commenced shooting, with Chiranjeevi in the lead role. The film, produced by Vikram, Vamsi, and Pramod under UV Creations, boasts a high-budget and features music by MM Keeravaani, cinematography by Chota K Naidu, and costume design by Chiranjeevi’s daughter, Sushmita.
The movie is set to release on January 10 next year, aiming for the festive occasion of Sankranthi. The makers have erected 13 massive sets in Hyderabad for the fantasy drama, creating anticipation for a visually stunning cinematic experience.
