Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has launched ‘Makkaludan Muthalvar,’ a new initiative aimed at bringing government services closer to the people and resolving their grievances within 30 days. The scheme, inaugurated on Monday, focuses on expediting service delivery, minimizing procedural delays, and reducing document volume required for submission.
During the launch, the Chief Minister emphasized the scheme’s direct supervision to ensure swift resolution of people’s grievances. Additionally, special attention will be given to addressing the concerns of the differently-abled and the elderly.
The plan includes organizing camps in two phases across corporations, municipalities, town panchayats, and village panchayats in all districts, excluding those affected by cyclone Michaung. Approximately 1,745 camps will be conducted in the initial phase, involving thirteen key government departments. Grievances recorded during these camps will be uploaded to the ‘Makkaludan Muthalvar’ website for systematic follow-up and resolution.
Inaugurating Semmozhi Poonga, a botanical garden, during the event, Mr. Stalin outlined the commitment of the government to prioritize citizen-centric services and streamline the grievance redressal process.
