Six young lives were tragically lost in a horrific car accident in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on November 12, when a Toyota Innova collided with a truck at ONGC Chowk around 1:30 am. The incident occurred as the group was returning from a party, reportedly intoxicated. The impact of the crash was so severe that it tore off the vehicle’s roof, leaving the car mangled beyond recognition. Disturbing videos circulating on social media show the aftermath, including two decapitated bodies and scattered body parts on the road.
The victims, aged between 19 and 24, were identified as Kunal Kukreja (23), Atul Agrawal (24), Rishabh Jain (24), Navya Goel (23), Kamakshi (20), and Guneet (19). The seventh person, Siddhesh Agrawal (25), who reportedly hosted the party, survived but is in critical condition. While six victims were from Dehradun, Kukreja hailed from Himachal Pradesh.
Local authorities have launched an investigation into the accident, and the police have confirmed the group was returning from a celebration, though details on their exact location before the crash remain unclear.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his sorrow over the loss of lives. “The news of the death of six youths in a road accident in Dehradun is extremely heart-rending. I pray to God to grant the departed souls a place at his sacred feet and give strength to the bereaved families to bear the immense pain,” he said in a statement.
