Dabra, Gwalior Madhya Pradesh: Shubham Sahu, fondly known as Sonu in the fitness world, has emerged as a beacon of inspiration for aspiring bodybuilders and fitness enthusiasts alike. Born on February 17, 1997, in the heart of Dabra, Gwalior Madhya Pradesh, Sonu has defied odds and risen to prominence in the competitive arena of bodybuilding.

Coming from a humble middle-class Hindu family, Sonu’s journey into the world of fitness began during his schooling at Mangla Higher Secondary School, Dabra, Gwalior Madhya Pradesh. His passion for health and physical education led him to pursue a Bachelor of Science course in the same field at ITM Gwalior. Although he didn’t complete his degree, this setback did not deter Sonu from chasing his dreams.

In November 2019, Sonu packed his bags and headed to the bustling city of Delhi, joining the renowned “Dronacharya GYM.” Here, he found mentorship under the esteemed Mukesh Singh Gaholat, popularly known as Guruji, a four-time winner of the coveted Mr. India title. Under Guruji’s guidance, Sonu embarked on a journey that would soon see him become a force to be reckoned with in the world of men’s physique competition.

Despite facing setbacks due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Sonu’s determination remained unshaken. After returning to his hometown temporarily, he made not one but two comebacks to Delhi in 2021 and 2022. In the latter half of 2022, his hard work and perseverance paid off as he clinched the title of Mr. India Men’s Physique Championship 2022, organized by the Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness Association (FBBA).

Sonu’s journey was not without its challenges. His first attempt in 2020 saw him break into the top 10, but the road to victory was a demanding one. Despite the hurdles posed by the pandemic, Sonu continued to prepare rigorously, showcasing his unwavering commitment to his craft.

Known for his disciplined lifestyle and dedication to fitness, Sonu’s choices reflect his commitment to his bodybuilding journey. His favorite foods include KFC chicken and Chicken Biryani, while his preferred colors are black and red.

Beyond the gym, Sonu indulges in various hobbies, including intense workout sessions, enjoying night parties, and exploring new destinations. His active presence on social media platforms like YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn allows fans to follow his fitness journey closely.
