In a significant boost to inter-city rail connectivity, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Pune-Nagpur Vande Bharat Express on September 15, along with nine other Vande Bharat trains. The launch event will take place in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, marking the first time that 10 Vande Bharat trains will be introduced simultaneously.
Railway officials have announced that this initiative aims to enhance travel efficiency and comfort across various regions. The Vande Bharat Express, known for its modern amenities and faster journey times, is expected to significantly reduce travel time between Pune and Nagpur, easing the reservation process for passengers.
Amit Gadre, a Pune-based IT professional, expressed his enthusiasm about the new service: “I work at an IT firm in Pune and my hometown is Nagpur. My home travel by train used to depend on ticket availability. The introduction of the Vande Bharat train will ease the reservation rush and reduce travel time.”
Similarly, passenger Kedar Mahangale shared his perspective, stating, “Pune-Nagpur trains are most of the time packed and tickets have to be booked in advance. The Vande Bharat train will provide a great option for us to travel now.”
