“Noida Police Seals Gangster’s Properties, Including ₹70 Crore Bungalow Gifted to Girlfriend”

Date:

The Noida police have intensified their crackdown on the scrap metal mafia and gangster Ravi Kana, sealing properties collectively valued at ₹200 crore in the Delhi-NCR region. The most recent action involved sealing a lavish bungalow in South Delhi worth over ₹70 crore, purportedly gifted by the gangster to his girlfriend, Kajal Jha.

Kajal Jha, initially connected with Ravi Kana while seeking employment, eventually became a pivotal member of his gang. Managing crucial financial records for undisclosed properties, she played a significant role in Kana’s operations. The three-storey bungalow in New Friends Colony, South Delhi, gifted by Kana to Jha, became a target of the Noida police’s recent actions.

Wednesday’s raid witnessed Jha and her associates hastily vacate the opulent property in an attempt to evade law enforcement scrutiny. The focus of the police’s attention, Ravindra Nagar, alias Ravi Kana, heads a gang of 16 individuals engaged in illegal activities revolving around rebar and scrap material acquisition and trade. Originating as a scrap dealer, Kana amassed considerable wealth through illicit dealings, including extortion in the Delhi-NCR region.

Kana’s ascent in the criminal world followed the demise of his brother, Harendra Pradhan, a gangster from Greater Noida killed in 2014 by a rival gang. Assuming control after his brother’s death, Kana even received police protection due to threats on his life.

According to Saad Miya Khan, a senior police officer in Greater Noida, Ravi Kana and his associates face charges in 11 cases, including kidnapping and theft. Law enforcement has already apprehended six members of the gang, intensifying efforts to dismantle the criminal network operating under Kana’s leadership.

The recent series of seizures and crackdowns by the Noida police shed light on the extensive web of illicit activities orchestrated by Kana’s gang, unraveling the depth of criminal operations within the region. The sealing of properties, particularly the high-value bungalow associated with Kajal Jha, marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts to curb organized crime in the area.
