"Mukesh Ambani Donates ₹5 Crore to Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee in Philanthropic Gesture"

Mukesh Ambani, the Chairman of Reliance Industries, demonstrated his commitment to philanthropy and religious support as he donated ₹5 crore to the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) following his visit to the Badrinath and Kedarnath temples.

Upon his arrival, Mukesh Ambani was greeted by BKTC Chairman and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Ajendra Ajay, along with the committee’s Vice-Chairman Kishore Pawar. Ambani’s visit to the temples was accompanied by Radhika Merchant, who is the fiancée of his youngest son, Anant Ambani.

Speaking about the visit and the generous donation, Ajendra Ajay expressed his gratitude, saying, “Mukesh Ambani today offered prayers at Kedarnath and Badrinath. He donated ₹5 crore to BKTC. I express my gratitude to Ambani ji for the donation on behalf of the temple committee. I also discussed with him various projects proposed by the temple committee. He assured all possible help for those.”

This charitable act comes on the heels of a significant contribution made by Anant Ambani, Mukesh Ambani’s son, earlier this year. In September, Anant Ambani donated ₹25 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, demonstrating the family’s commitment to supporting philanthropic causes.

Anant Ambani has been actively involved in the business ventures of the Reliance group, serving as a director on the boards of Jio Platforms, Reliance Retail, and the group’s energy and solar energy businesses. His contributions to both business and philanthropy have continued to make a positive impact on various sectors.

It’s worth noting that Anant Ambani previously made a generous donation of ₹5 crore to the Char Dham Devasthanam Management Board, now known as BKTC, in October 2020. This contribution was aimed at helping the board manage its expenses during the challenging period of the COVID-19 epidemic, which had a significant impact on the revenue of religious institutions.
