Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has pledged a compensation of ₹10 lakh each to the families of the victims who lost their lives in a tragic fire at a paint factory in Alipur. The blaze, which erupted on Thursday evening, claimed the lives of 11 individuals, prompting swift action from the state government to address the aftermath of the disaster.

Kejriwal, who visited the site to assess the situation firsthand, expressed heartfelt sympathy for the affected families. “We have full sympathy for the families of the killed. We will provide compensation of ₹10 lakh each for the family of the victims,” he stated during a briefing with reporters. Additionally, he announced compensation of ₹20,000 for those with minor injuries and ₹2 lakh for individuals with major injuries.

In response to concerns raised regarding the delay in the arrival of fire tenders, Kejriwal assured that a thorough inquiry would be conducted to determine accountability. “I will order an inquiry into it and whoever is guilty of this will not be spared,” he asserted. Moreover, he emphasized the need to investigate how the factory was operating within a residential area and pledged prompt action against any violations of safety regulations.

The tragic incident in Alipur, which resulted in fatalities and injuries, has prompted the government to prioritize relief measures for affected individuals and families. Kejriwal reiterated the government’s commitment to compensating those whose shops and houses suffered damage due to the fire, ensuring that they receive assistance in accordance with established policies.
