In a tragic incident, two police personnel were found dead and another injured inside a police vehicle in Udhampur on Sunday morning. The incident, suspected to be a case of fratricide, has shocked the local police force.

Amod Ashok Nagpure, SSP Udhampur, stated that the incident occurred at 6:30 am as the police personnel were traveling from Sopore to the Talwara training center. An AK-47 rifle was reportedly used in the attack. “Two police personnel have died, and a third officer is safe. Their bodies will be taken to GMC Udhampur for postmortem and other procedures,” he said.
Nagpure also confirmed that the incident appears to be a case of fratricide, possibly followed by suicide, although further investigation is required to determine the exact sequence of events.
