According to the latest weather update, the region is likely to experience intense weather conditions, including gusty winds, isolated rainfall, and hailstorms.
The IMD’s forecast indicates that the heavy rain and thunderstorms are anticipated to last for 1-2 hours, starting from Friday evening. Gusty winds with speeds ranging from 40-60 km/h are expected along with light to moderate rainfall, which could escalate into heavy downpours in some areas.
Specifically mentioning the areas at risk, IMD’s tweet mentioned locations such as Loni Dehat, Hindon AF Station, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Dadri, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad, Manesar, Ballabhgarh, Sohana, Palwal, Nuh in Haryana, and Bhiwari in Rajasthan. These areas are likely to experience thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, and gusty winds during the specified timeframe.
Additionally, the weather agency warned of possible hailstorms and precipitation over certain areas of Delhi, NCR, Haryana, and Rajasthan. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions and stay updated with weather alerts.
IMD scientists also highlighted abnormal temperatures in northwest India, possibly influenced by a Western disturbance. Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and adjoining plains are expected to experience heavy rainfall, thunderstorm activity, and even hailstorm activity.
In contrast, heat wave conditions are prevailing over Maharashtra and nearby regions, while Madhya Pradesh is forecasted to experience dry weather and warm conditions in central India for the next few days.
