A collision between an Indian fishing vessel and a Scorpene-class Indian Navy submarine off the coast of Goa has resulted in a massive search and rescue operation. The incident, which occurred approximately 70 nautical miles from the coastline, involved the fishing boat Marthoma with 13 crew members on board.
The collision led to the rescue of 11 fishermen, while two remain missing. The Indian Navy, in coordination with the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) in Mumbai, has deployed six ships and aircraft to aid in the search efforts. The Indian Coast Guard has also diverted additional resources to assist in the operation.

The Navy has assured that all possible measures are being taken to locate the missing fishermen and ascertain the circumstances leading to the collision. Rescue efforts are expected to continue around the clock.
