Former Andhra Minister and Congress Leader Dharmapuri Srinivas Passes Away at 76

Dharmapuri Srinivas, former Pradesh Congress Committee president and a prominent political figure in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, passed away early Saturday morning due to a heart attack. He was 76 years old and had been battling illness for some time, according to his family.

Srinivas had a distinguished political career, having served as a Minister, Member of Parliament, and Pradesh Congress Committee president in Andhra Pradesh. He leaves behind a legacy of dedicated service to the state and the Congress party.

He is survived by his two sons, Dharmapuri Arvind and Sanjay. Dharmapuri Arvind currently serves as the Member of Parliament from Nizamabad, following in his father’s footsteps in public service. Sanjay, his elder son, has previously served as the Mayor of Nizamabad.

Upon hearing the news of Srinivas’s passing, several political leaders expressed their condolences. Telangana Minister for Transport and BC Welfare, Ponnam Prabhakar, remembered Srinivas’s contributions as a Minister and PCC Chief. He recalled their long association within the party and extended his sympathies to the bereaved family, praying for strength during this difficult time.

Telangana Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Women and Child Welfare, Dansari Anasuya Seethakka, also offered her deepest condolences, praying for the departed soul to rest in peace.
