25 Lakh Contract to Kill Salman Khan Revealed in Navi Mumbai Police Chargesheet

In a shocking revelation, the Navi Mumbai Police has filed a chargesheet detailing a conspiracy to assassinate Bollywood actor Salman Khan, with a contract reportedly worth ₹25 lakh for the hit. The plan was allegedly orchestrated by the notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently incarcerated.

The chargesheet names five individuals involved in the conspiracy, indicating that they were in the process of acquiring advanced weaponry, including AK-47s, AK-92s, M-16 rifles, and a Turkish-made Zigana firearm. The latter weapon is infamously known as the one used in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.

According to the investigation, the accused had enlisted minors for the assassination plot and were reportedly hiding in various locations, including Pune, Raigad, Navi Mumbai, Thane, and Gujarat. The police estimated that around 60 to 70 individuals were surveilling Salman Khan’s movements, particularly around his residences in Bandra and Panvel, as well as at Goregaon Film City.

The plot to kill the 58-year-old actor was conceived between August 2023 and April 2024. Notably, a key figure in the plot, Sukkha, was arrested recently in Haryana’s Panipat. He had assigned the hit to designated shooter Ajay Kashyap, alias AK, along with four accomplices. They conducted reconnaissance, determining that high-end weaponry would be necessary due to the actor’s robust security measures, including bulletproof vehicles.

Sukkha allegedly engaged with a Pakistan-based arms dealer named Dogar via video call, showcasing the AK-47 and other firearms wrapped in a shawl while negotiating the arms deal. It is reported that Dogar consented to supply the weapons, with Sukkha agreeing to a 50% advance payment, with the remainder due upon delivery in India.

The chargesheet further indicates that the shooters were awaiting instructions from Canada-based gangster Goldie Brar and Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother. The shooters devised a plan to regroup in Kanyakumari post-assassination, from where they intended to escape to Sri Lanka by boat and then travel to a country beyond the reach of Indian investigative agencies.

The assassination conspiracy was uncovered during an investigation into a separate incident of firing outside Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra. In response to these threats, security measures have been heightened around the actor’s Bandra home, particularly following the recent assassination of former minister and NCP leader Baba Siddique, who was shot near Nirmal Nagar in Bandra.

As the investigation continues, the police are working diligently to ensure the safety of Salman Khan and bring all individuals involved in this alarming plot to justice.
