The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified its attack on Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, calling for his resignation amidst allegations of financial irregularities involving the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) and the Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribe Development Corporation. Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje, addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters, accused Siddaramaiah of corruption and demanded a thorough investigation into the alleged scams.

In response to recommendations from the Cauvery Water Control Committee, Karnataka is under pressure to release 1 Thousand Million Cubic feet (TMC) of water to Tamil Nadu daily. This directive has prompted an emergency meeting of the Water Resources Department scheduled at Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's residence on Friday.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has taken a decisive step against the spread of fake news by lodging a police complaint and accusing those behind it of creating disinformation. The incident revolves around a fabricated news report that sparked controversy, leading to legal action against several individuals and groups.

In a significant development, the Karnataka High Court has ordered Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to appear in court on March 6, 2024, regarding a case involving protests and road blockades conducted in 2022. The court's directive also includes other Congress leaders named in the case, namely ministers MB Patil and Ramalinga Reddy, as well as Randeep Singh Surjewala.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah responded firmly to allegations made by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Pratap Simha, asserting that those found guilty of breaking the law would be arrested, emphasizing a commitment to justice.
