Amit Shah Instructs Security Forces to Restore Unrestricted Movement in Manipur from March 8

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has instructed security forces in Manipur to ensure unrestricted movement of people on all roads starting March 8. The directive was issued during a high-level security review meeting held in the national capital on Saturday, focusing on the ongoing ethnic violence in the state since May 3, 2023.

“Amit Shah Assesses Security Forces’ Audit and Reinforces ‘Zero Infiltration’ Strategy in Jammu and Kashmir”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah reviewed a recent security audit carried out by security forces along the border areas of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on Wednesday. The review focused on strengthening security measures, particularly targeting infiltration and terrorism in the region. Shah emphasized that all security agencies should aim for a “zero infiltration” goal starting this year.

In a significant development, a senior Maoist leader, Jayaram Reddy, also known as Chalapati, carrying a ₹1 crore bounty, was killed in a fierce encounter with security forces in the Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh. The clash, which occurred in a forested area along the Chhattisgarh-Odisha border, led to the deaths of at least 20 Maoists.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, during a rally in Seraikela on Monday, outlined a series of actions the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) intends to take if it wins the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections. He promised to form a committee to identify and expel what he termed “infiltrators” from the state and vowed to introduce a law preventing the transfer of tribal land to these individuals, particularly those who marry tribal women.
