
In a tragic incident in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur district, four children and a teenage driver lost their lives after a tractor-trolley overturned. The accident occurred in the morning in Tinheta Deori village under the Chargavan police station limits. City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Sunil Nema provided details of the incident to PTI.
The victims included four boys aged between 10 to 15 years and an 18-year-old driving the tractor-trolley. Two other children sustained injuries in the accident. According to official reports, the children were transporting a water tank to a wedding when the tragedy struck.
The investigation revealed that the driver was operating the tractor recklessly, leading to the loss of control and the subsequent overturning of the vehicle. The reckless driving resulted in the tragic deaths of Anup Barkade (12), Rajveer Gond (13), Devendra Barkade (15), Lucky Markam (10), and the driver, Dharmendra Thakur. Dalpat (12) and Vikas (10) sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment at the medical college hospital.
Authorities, including Additional Superintendent of Police Suryakant Sharma, are actively investigating the cause of the accident. This tragic incident serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety and responsible driving practices to prevent such heartbreaking losses in the future.
