Actor Chahatt Khanna recently opened up about the strong bond she shared with her co-stars from the hit television show Bade Achche Lagte Hain, especially praising actor Ram Kapoor for standing up for her during a distressing incident on set.
Chahatt, who portrayed Sakshi Tanwar’s younger sister in the show, recalled how Ram Kapoor once fought with a man who was stalking and troubling her on the set. In a candid chat with Hauterrfly, Chahatt said, “Ram Kapoor is very nice and has been very supportive. I remember once, someone had come on the sets of Bade Achche Lagte Hain and was troubling me. Ram usse ladkar aaya tha (he fought with him). From that day, I became a fan of him.”
She added, “He’s always been very supportive, especially towards women,” highlighting his protective and respectful nature.
On Her Bond With Sakshi Tanwar
Speaking about her on-screen sister and off-screen bond with Sakshi Tanwar, Chahatt said, “Sakshi has always been like my elder sister. She’s very sweet and one of the nicest people I’ve worked with. Even today, when I meet her, she is exactly the same. If I ever felt that comfort of sisterhood, I felt it with Sakshi.”
Chahatt also reminisced about her journey in television, which began with the show Hero – Bhakti Hi Shakti Hai. She later went on to feature in several popular series including Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan, Kaajjal, and Qubool Hai. Beyond television, she has also acted in Bollywood films such as Thank You alongside Akshay Kumar and 7½ Phere: More Than a Wedding, which starred Irrfan Khan and Juhi Chawla.
