Existence of women

There was a time when women were made to sit on the funeral pyre alive under inhumane customs like Sati Pratha. The customs of society always considered her weak, but women proved their existence through their struggle and sacrifice. Brave women like Rani Lakshmibai, Jhalkari Bai, Padmavati fought not only for their rights but also to show the society that women are not only soft but also powerful. With time, the existence of women has changed. Now she is not limited to the home only, but is waving the flag of her success in every field like education, politics, science, sports and administration.

Contribution of women in education

Women have proved their skill and intelligence in the field of education. Today we have many famous women doctors, scientists, educationists and administrators. The first woman IPS officer like Kiran Bedi proved that women can stand at par with men in the administrative field as well.

Participation of women in sports

Women have also proved their ability in the sports world. Players like Sania Mirza, Mary Kom, Sakshi Malik, P.V. Sindhu, Nikhat Zareen are making India proud at the international level. Whether it is wrestling, boxing or badminton, women power is proving its mettle in every sport.

Influence of women in politics

Even in politics, women have set an example with their perseverance and leadership ability. From Indira Gandhi to the current President Draupadi Murmu, women have shown that they are fully capable of handling the reins of the country. This is a big step towards women empowerment, which has inspired women to move forward for their rights.

Role of women in science and space

Scientists like Kalpana Chawla, Sunita Williams and Tessy Thomas have proved that women can make their mark not only on earth but also in space. Women scientists have played an important role in India’s Mars and Moon missions, which makes it clear that women are in no way less than men in the field of science.

Fight for equal rights

Even though women have achieved success in every field, they have still not got equal rights in society. At the family, social and government level, many women are denied their rights. But by making their place in every class, women have proved that they are not behind anyone.

Women’s safety: An important issue

Even today, women’s safety remains a serious issue. In a country where women are worshipped as goddesses, incidents like Nirbhaya raise questions on women’s safety. Society has to understand that women can get true security not only by making laws but by changing the mindset.

Woman: A power, not a weakness

Woman is not only weak, but is a form of power. Whether she is in the form of a mother, a sister, a daughter or a wife, she is the foundation of society in every form. We should respect women and give them all the rights they deserve.

Respect for women is the pride of society
