CM Revanth Reddy Orders Crackdown on Illegal Foreign Nationals, Puts Telangana on High Alert Amid Operation Sindoor

In the wake of intensified security measures under ‘Operation Sindoor’, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has placed the state on high alert, ordering the detention of Pakistan and Bangladesh nationals residing illegally in the region. The decision was made during a high-level review meeting held on Wednesday, as part of the government’s proactive measures to ensure public safety and maintain law and order.

According to an official release, the Chief Minister has instructed police authorities to enhance surveillance in all district headquarters and sensitive zones. Leaves of employees in emergency departments have been cancelled, and security has been ramped up across the state.

The state government will also hold a massive rally on Thursday in support of the Indian Army, to be attended by CM Reddy and his cabinet colleagues. “This is a time when the entire nation must send out a unified message of solidarity with our armed forces,” Reddy said, urging all political parties to act with restraint and responsibility.

Security has been tightened at all foreign consulates in Hyderabad and key IT corridors, while history-sheeters and old offenders are being closely monitored. A robust communication system is also being established at the command and control center to respond swiftly to emerging threats.

In anticipation of any emergencies, the state has directed hospitals to update the availability of beds and stockpile emergency medicines and blood supplies. Coordination with the Red Cross has been strengthened, and food reserves are being secured to prevent shortages.

All ministers and senior officials have been asked to cancel any foreign travel plans and remain accessible. “Strict action will be taken against anyone who attempts to disrupt peace and security,” the release stated.

To curb panic and misinformation, a special cell will be set up to monitor and tackle fake news and disinformation that could fuel public anxiety.

These sweeping measures come as the Telangana government steps up its commitment to national security and public safety during a time of heightened concern.
