Social media influencer Apoorva Mukhija has wiped her Instagram clean, deleting all her posts and unfollowing everyone on the platform. This move comes just days after YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia made his social media comeback following the India’s Got Latent controversy.
Apoorva Mukhija’s Instagram Wipeout
Despite clearing out her posts, Apoorva’s follower count remains at three million. Interestingly, her Instagram Highlights are still visible. This drastic step follows Ranveer Allahbadia’s return to social media, where he resumed posting on Instagram and uploaded a new video on YouTube.
The India’s Got Latent Controversy
The controversy erupted in February 2025, when a complaint was filed against Apoorva Mukhija, Ranveer Allahbadia, and comedian Samay Raina over a series of alleged offensive remarks made during an episode of India’s Got Latent. The comments, intended as jokes, sparked massive backlash.
Following the uproar, Apoorva took a break from social media and even refrained from promoting her film Nadaaniyan, where she had a supporting role. She also skipped the film’s premiere. However, she later reacted to an Instagram Reel where influencer Sufi Motiwala praised her acting and fashion sense, noting that she was “severely underused” in the film.
In response to the video, Apoorva commented, “Got hated so hard that now even Sufi Motiwala doesn’t say hateful things about me.”
Apoorva’s Recent Public Appearances
Amid the controversy, Apoorva and Ranveer recorded their statements before the National Commission for Women (NCW) Chairperson and legal team. While leaving a police station in Khar, Apoorva covered her face with a mask and avoided questions from the media.
She also made headlines for attending singer Sabrina Carpenter’s concert in Paris. A Reddit user shared a TikTok video claiming that she caused a scene at the concert.
Ranveer Allahbadia’s Return
While Apoorva has gone silent on social media, Ranveer Allahbadia has resumed his online presence, posting content on both Instagram and YouTube. His return has sparked further discussions about the India’s Got Latent row and the future of those involved.
With Apoorva’s Instagram purge, it remains to be seen whether she will make a comeback like Ranveer or continue to stay away from the spotlight.
